Ornament Blitz #10, praises to the crop and 10,000 visits

I know you think that I have gone crazy, but it will all make sense. So here is today's ornament. Is that penguin not the cutest thing hiding under the Santa hat? Well this wasn't my idea. I saw it on the blog of another A Muse girl, but I can't find it now. Please let me know if it was yours, so I can give credit where it is due. I looked all over my craft room to find something new and creative to make an ornament with. I sacrificed the lid of a jar of Primas. So far my Crop-A-Dile has really only been used to set eylets and some holes in chipboard. I was a skeptic and didn't think it would punch through this thick metal lid. Boy was I wrong~ cut through like butter. If you don't have one, go here NOW!!

So on to the blog candy! I can't believe that I have had 10,000 visits to my blog. I began my blog with one reader and that was only because I would tell her to go check it out. Then I think she started feeling sorry for me, so she started leaving some comments. I began participating in AMUSEAPALOOZA and things took off. I got to know some of the other participants just from the comments we left on each other's blogs. I bit the bullet and hosted my first swap on SCS. Many messages later, I began the A Muse Addicts Club thread. And of course we had to have a Yahoo group. It just amazes me that one little blog has allowed me to meet so many friends from all around the world that would have otherwise been strangers, but now they are FABULOUS friends. Thanks girls!!

What has blogging given you? I would love to hear your stories of how either writing your blog or reading others has enriched and/or inspired you. Leave a comment by Friday at 9pm EST.
I am also throwing in some A Muse ribbon to the prize pack ~ forgot to put it in the picture.

Stay tuned tomorrow for an ornament and sneak peek ~ all in one!

ETA: The Penguin idea was Lexi's. Thanks Penny !

Hi Michelle! Congratulations on hitting 10K!! WOW!! Will I ever hit that number?? I'm only about 750! What I love about my blog is being able to share my creations with lots of people, and to get feedback from other scrappers, stampers and bloggers! I love reading other blogs, they give me so much inpsiration, and I now have a huge list of them since joining the a muse addicts yahoo group!! I am so amazed that people from all over the world read my blog and see what I have created, it certainly make you realize how small the world is becoming! Keep inspiring us!! May you get 10,000 more hits times 10!!!

Congratulations. My blog is non-evolving because my scanner is not working :(... I have loved visiting blogs, to see all the new and new to me products, stamp companies, techniques, tips, and tutorials with pictures - you see I'm technically challenged with descriptions only. LOL :) ... blogs have inspired me greatly. Thank you very much.

Just found you today from Alison's blog . . . I really think it is cool how we all have a little community of stampin' bloggers. I agree with you about meeting others from all over the world. That has to be the greatest part of blogging. I am in a group of Stampin' Sisters (more info at my blog on that too) that are from Australia, Scotland, New Zealand, Canada and the US. I think that is the coolest! Congrats on your 10K hits--that's terrific, too, and your penguin is dear! :) Kelly

The ornament is really cute. Never thought of creating something like that. Well, for the candy... I've learned from reading other's blog some techniques and I've aquired sense of color combos. I'm quite bad trying colors but once I see that it looks good, I try them out.

Blogging has given me some sense of self confidence. I tried sharing the works I do, even those I don't like that much or I'm insecure. It has worked out so far. I even worked my first tutorial.

Since starting my blog, I have definitely become a better stamper, more creative. The feedback and friendships I have developed are very rewarding. I even met a friend from grad school that I had lost touch with. She found my blog while bored at work and has started a blog of her own!

by reading other blogs, I have found dinner ideas, stuff to laugh about at 2Am and stuff to cry about too. I also learned how to make a sketch for my ideas and now have an official sketch book all my own.
