You've got mail

These little mailboxes were very popular last year during Valentine's. But of course, I missed the wagon and when I finally decided I wanted them they were all out. I wasn't going to let that happen again. So as soon as I got word they had been spotted I ran to Target. The have pink, red and white, but I only got white ones~ all they had of course. I used some left over SU paper from last year and some of their chip board. Then personalized it with a clear alphabet stamp from A Muse. These are so easy and fun to make.
ETA: When you decorate these mailboxes, you have to carefully pop off the flag before adding the paper. They are easy to take off, but if you aren't careful you will bend the mailbox; making it difficult to put the flag on again.

8 hours of crafting

and I only have one thing to show for it. I totally CASEd this from the SU catalog. I made this one for my friend Kris. They really need a short girly hairstyle. This is my first time using a stamp positioner and I think I still need some practice. I messed up many sheets of paper before I got this, it still isn't perfect so I will have to practice more. I want to make these for some friends for Christmas.
All images, paper, ribbon and ink are SU.

What do you do first?

I seem to always choose the stamps I want to use first and then decide on papers and embellies! On this card however, I made the base of the card before I decided what stamps to use on it. I may have to try this more often b/c I like the way it turned out. So what is your card making process?

SMILE

I need to work on my lighting for pictures. Have you seen that studio in a box thing? I really would like to get that; I guess I will have to add it to my never ending list of things I want. I am not sure if I like the way this card turned out. I like the color scheme, but it seems to still need something. What do you think??

My faux metal Airstream

I love this technique for the new A Muse Camper stamp. I stamped my Versamark pad direct to paper and embossed with silver embossing powder; you need to repeat this step 3 times. While the embossing powder is still hot, I stamped the Camper with Stampin Up Basic Black.
